Snapping Sensational Burlesque with Foyers Photography

Hi there! Bob Foyers of Foyers Photography at Bentwaters, Woodbridge, Suffolk here. I’ve recently had the privilege of working with Snapdragon Cabaret, a burlesque group based in Norwich, Norfolk, and I have to say, it was an experience I won’t soon forget.

These dancers are all about body positivity and gender equality, and their ethos is one that I can wholeheartedly get behind. I mean, what’s not to love about a group of people who celebrate and embrace all body types and genders, right?

One of their members, Bobbie aka Bobbie Derrière, is particularly amazing. In her own words, she’s “Deft, Daft, and Dazzling!” and let me tell you, that’s not just lip service. This woman exudes confidence and sass in every single thing she does, and it was a joy to capture her in all her burlesque glory.

We did the boudoir shoot at the end of 2022, and I have to say, it was a wild ride. The energy that Bobbie brought to the shoot was absolutely infectious, and before I knew it, we had created a full-blown theatrical production right there in the studio. It was amazing!

Of course, the ultimate goal of the shoot was to promote body positivity, and I think we achieved that and then some. Bobbie and the rest of the Snapdragon Cabaret crew are the epitomai of self-love and acceptance, and seeing them embrace their bodies and own their sexuality was truly inspiring.
