Capturing Confidence and Beauty: My Boudoir Shoot Experience with Lady Cleo and the Snapdragon Cabaret

As a professional boudoir photographer based in Bentwaters, Suffolk, I had the pleasure of working with the lovely Lady Cleo, a burlesque dancer and one of the founding members of the Snapdragon Cabaret in Norwich, Norfolk. I’ve been doing a lot of work with their promotion photography lately, and I have to say, it’s been an absolute joy to work with such an amazing group of people.

The Snapdragon Cabaret is a burlesque troop that prides itself on equity and body positivity, which is something I wholeheartedly support. As a photographer, it’s my job to make my subjects feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera, and the Snapdragon Cabaret makes my job a whole lot easier.

When Lady Cleo stepped in front of my lens, I knew I was in for a treat. She was full of life and “joie de vivre,” and her energy was infectious. As a photographer, it’s always a pleasure to work with someone who is so comfortable in their own skin and knows how to express themselves.

As we began the shoot, I made sure to set the temperature to warm to really bring out my creative and expressive side. I used a variety of poses and angles to capture Lady Cleo’s beauty and personality, and she absolutely nailed every single shot. Her confidence and charm shone through in every photograph, and I knew we had created something truly special.
