The Power of Self-Love: A Boudoir Photoshoot with Bobbie Derrière
As a professional boudoir photographer, I’m always looking for opportunities to capture unique and expressive moments. Recently, I had the pleasure of working with Bobbie Derrière, a talented burlesque dancer and member of the Snapdragon Cabaret, a Norwich-based burlesque troop.
Working with Snapdragon Cabaret has been a wonderful experience for me. Not only do they put on some of the most exciting and dynamic shows in the area, but they also pride themselves on promoting equity and body positivity. As a photographer, it’s inspiring to work with such a forward-thinking and inclusive group.
Bobbie was an absolute joy to work with during our boudoir shoot. From the moment she stepped in front of the camera, I could tell that she was going to bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the shoot. And she did not disappoint.
Throughout the session, Bobbie exuded a sense of fullness of life and “joie de vivre” that was infectious. She was completely comfortable in front of the camera, which made my job so much easier. Her confidence and charisma really shone through in the final photos, which turned out to be some of my favourite work to date.
What struck me most about Bobbie was her genuine love for her body and her confidence in herself. It was evident in the way she moved and posed, and it really came through in the photos. Her attitude was a refreshing reminder of the importance of self-love and acceptance.
As a photographer, my goal is to capture moments that are authentic and emotive, and working with Bobbie was a perfect example of that. Her positive energy and enthusiasm really brought the shoot to life, and I’m thrilled with the results.
If you’re interested in a boudoir shoot, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. As a photographer, there’s nothing more rewarding than helping someone feel confident and empowered in front of the camera.
